Who sings the version of “Brazil” on the Brazil 1985 DVD menu?
This English version of the song plays on the DVD menu, as well as various parts throughout the movie.
The song is Ary Barroso’s 1939 song “Aquarela do Brasil” or “Brazil” in English. The version I’m looking for doesn’t seem to be listed in the credits or on the soundtrack. It isn’t Frank Sinatra, and it isn’t the samba version. I absolutely cannot figure this out and it’s driving me crazy. thx-
It is definitely a man singing.
There was a later version by Michael Kamen with Kate Bush singing. Could be this.
